Christine set up Slender Mindset™ in response to meeting people who experience depression, anxiety, and lack of confidence because of weight management problems. Christine has studied the complex relationship of our feelings and attitude with food, and how psychotherapy can help overcome the challenge of losing weight in a healthy and sustainable way.
Christine is an accredited cognitive behavioural psychotherapist and registered mental health nurse (RMN) with over 17 years experience of working in the NHS in mental health and psychological therapies. Christine is trained in Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Compassion Focussed Therapy – all of which are underpinned by Mindfulness techniques. Christine completed her degree in Psychosocial Interventions for Psychosis.
Christine has studied nutrition and weight management. Christine has personal experience of how dietary changes and sensible weight loss can make a big difference to how healthy and confident we feel.
Prior to her nursing career, Christine trained in Classical Homeopathy and ran a private practice.
Christine has always had an interest in health and well-being and is passionate about helping you overcome your challenge of losing weight and maintaining weight loss. Christine’s goal is to help you lose weight, feel more healthy, and enjoy a full and meaningful life.
